Why go to Coron

Coron is Palawan's other side: fewer white-sand postcards, more geology and wreck diving. Kayangan Lake sits inside a crater of rock, and the Japanese wrecks below the bay are among Asia's most accessible.

Town itself is functional rather than pretty — the reward is on the water and at Maquinit hot springs after a long boat day.
